Gbemi is a self-taught 3D sculpture artist based in New York City. Born and raised in Nigeria, her works are a juxtaposition of her past and present experiences drawing inspiration from the mundane and the extraordinary.

Prior to pursuing artistry, she championed human rights causes and social justice issues working at nonprofits like Amnesty International USA, including a stint in diplomacy at the UN. She also explored the world of corporate finance at a notable hedge fund.

She is inspired by the endless possibilities presented in sculptural art. She employs the use of organic materials like plaster, clay, coffee, and tea while also exploring innovative artistic materials to bring her visions to life.

As an artist,

I pay meticulous attention to every detail of my work. I am not only consumed by the desire to create beautiful, emotive works of art - I am equally engrossed by the nature of consumerism and guaranteeing the longevity of my pieces. You can rest assured knowing that several thoughtful layers of protection are applied.

All artworks are also signed and delivered with a Certificate of Authenticity, along with specific care instructions.
