Gbemi Adesanya (b. 1994, Nigeria)

Gbemi is a New York–based sculptor and founder of TheZenDoc Studio. Entirely self-taught, she works primarily with thermoformed acrylic alongside plaster, clay, and resin to create abstract wall sculptures that explore how color, reflection, texture, and light shape the experience of form.

Gbemi’s work exists at the intersection of contemporary sculpture, architecture, and collectible design. Her sculptures have been exhibited in galleries in New York and commissioned for corporate and hospitality spaces including Shopify, The Ritz-Carlton, and ARIA Resort & Casino. Her work is held in private collections throughout the United States and internationally.
