"Gagged" is a visceral representation of suppressed voices and the weight of systemic oppression. This 3D art features a textured, faceless form, partially veiled by layers of mesh—a symbol of forced silence, suffocation, and restraint. The stark contrast between black and white elements evokes themes of division, racial injustice, and the erasure of autonomy.

Born from deep frustration, fear, and defiance, this piece speaks to the lived experience of marginalized communities—particularly the dehumanization of immigrants, the rising tide of hate, and the struggle for equity and social justice.

Through this work, I channel my spectrum of emotions into a stark visual statement. The interplay of transparency and obstruction mirrors the tension between visibility and oppression.

The 3D artwork is made from styrofoam, wire and plastic mesh, and joint compound on canvas, left in the natural finish color and sealed with a matte varnish.
