“Holding It Together" is a visceral exploration of resilience, vulnerability, and the quiet struggle of endurance. With this sculptural art, I aim to capture the sensation—both physical and emotional—of being pulled, stretched, and reassembled. The surface (textured and painted with coffee) bears the marks of tension and wear, while patches of plaster bandages act as symbolic bandages, suggesting healing and reinforcement.
This piece speaks to the universal experience of holding oneself together in the face of internal and external pressures. It embodies the tension between fragility and strength, repair and rupture, wholeness and fragmentation. "Holding It Together" reflects the ways in which we mend, brace, and sustain ourselves—sometimes seamlessly, sometimes visibly scarred.
The 3D wall art is a quiet, tactile reminder that survival is often an act of continuous reconstruction.
